  • When is it best to book a session?

    24-02-2015

You should always try to book early.

For a Maternity session you should ideally book after your 20 week scan. It is best booked for a date between your 28th and 34th week which is when you are really glowing.

For a New-born session sooner rather than later is best. I recommend that you book well in advance of your due date to guarantee my availability. Due to the flexibility required for early or late arrivals, I only schedule a limited number of new-born sessions per month.

If you are due imminently, you are welcome to contact me to check if I have any sessions available.

  • How long does a session take?

A normal session lasts about an hour however, Newborn sessions take considerably longer, up to 4 hours.

  • What should I wear?

Whatever you feel comfortable in but it is best to avoid fussy patterns, logos and writing as these tend to distract from faces in the photographs.
For maternity shoots please remove any tight underwear a couple of hours before the session to avoid marks on your close ups.

  • What happens if my baby cries and won't sleep?

    24-02-2015

When you arrive, I will need to settle the baby. Sometimes this takes 2 minutes, and sometimes a lot longer. This cannot be rushed and it’s nothing to be anxious about. Your baby is the star of the show and sometimes they don’t want to perform. Your baby is likely to wake and need a top up feed too. It’s hard work being a model and with lots of handling they often need that little bit extra!

  • Will you use a dummy?

    24-02-2015

It is highly likely that I will, even if you don’t use one at home. For the purpose of keeping baby settled, I find using my own sterilised dummies really does help. I am moving baby while asleep in ways he won’t be used to and each baby reacts differently. I use different dummies for breast fed and bottle fed babies but I can assure you that using one for the short time I’m posing will not cause any issues with feeding or settling them in future.

  • What happens after my session?

    24-02-2015

Your processed images will uploaded to a private secure on-line gallery which will be made available to you for a period of 7 days during which time you can make your selections.

  • What do I get on a USB drive?

    24-02-2015

Your high resolution USB drive will contain the best 20 full size images. These are in high resolution .jpg format which are suitable for printing.
